My other (day) job is in quality assurance. I review processes, test software, document testing results, and supervise the technical writing area for our IT department. When I graduated with an English degree, I thought I would teach or be a copywriter. I never realized that skills from a liberal arts degree could be applied to a variety of professions. And that's how a nice English major ended up in an IT world. (Hey, I still get phone calls from folks once in a while who need help with writing or with resources for a research paper.)

Sometimes, I miss being in a liberal arts world. So this is the forum I created for writers, teachers, students, and anyone else with an interest in pens, paper, dictionaries, writing, or funny stories.
