I saw a special on the Discovery Science Channel this week about the lunar landing in the late 1960s. One of the astronauts broke a switch that was key to the launch. Without the switch, they were unable to return to Earth. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin solved the critical problem with an ordinary pen. One of the astronauts jammed the pen in the hole where the switch was to start the process for the trip home.

Sometimes, the ordinary or simple thing is the solution.
