I love to read and write. Sometimes, I get so engrossed in the former that I don't keep up with my writing exercises. Keep a list of all the books you read in a year. You'll be amazed at the end of the year. I started my list in 2000. It's helped several times when I needed to remember a title or an author. Put your list in a spreadsheet or table. It'll make it easier to sort.

I'm a list maker. I also have another list of authors and books that people recommend. I finally put that on my electronic calendar so that I can access it when I'm at the book store or library.

You should read what you want to write. Check out online resources or your local library. See what's new in your genre or fields of interest.
