Blahs and Blocks
When you get the blahs or blocks, do something to shake yourself up and get inspired.
- Put on some fast music and turn it up loud. Take a 5-minute dance or karaoke break.
- Plan a lunch with a friend who inspires you. (Don't pick an emotional vampire who'll drag you down.)
- Take an exercise break. You'll feel better.
- Spend some time with your pet. My Jack Russell's always available for catch or a frisbee break.
- Do some stream of consciousness or free association. Don't stop to think. Write down what comes to mind. Later, you may find something interesting. If not, the exercise will get you going.
