I am always in search of interesting names for characters and places. Here are some ideas...

Exercise
Write the alphabet on a piece of paper. Brainstorm a male and female name for each letter. Keep it nearby when you're looking for ideas.

Credits
Watch the credits on TV and movies. You'll see unusual names. Jot them down when you see them.

Maps
Get a state map. Peruse the index of place names. This is great for character or place names.

Phonebooks
Randomly skim through the phonebook. Jot down intriguing first and last names. If you don't want to use your local one, go online and pick a new city.
