Things My Dogs Taught Me...Today's Dog Blog
We have a Snottie (part Schnauzer and Scottie) and a Jack Russell Terrier (Terrorist). They rule the house. Below are some lessons they have taught me...
1. They are happy to see me every time I come into the room. You can't say that about your co-workers.
2. They aren't judgmental. They like me for being me (and being able to open the peanut butter jar).
3. They take time to play. They're always available for a pick-up game of catch or frisbee.
4. They like me no matter what mood I'm in. They are also fiercely loyal.
5. They are my best audience. They listen every time I want to practice a presentation or a speech. And they give only positive feedback. (The Snotty helped me practice all 10 speeches for my Toastmasters' certification. She listened to them over and over and over.)
6. They love us unconditionally.
Hug your dog and see what he/she has to teach you.
