It's been a busy week, but these examples of "business communication" are reasons why we need good technical writers, proofreaders, and editors.

1. I read a three-sentence paragraph in a document, and the author used the word "budget" eight times.

3. We had a user choose a very creative background for a PowerPoint presentation. The slideshow and layout were great, but the not-so-subtle lines in the background really detracted from the material when it was projected. If you try something new, make sure to test drive it on the big screen. Sometimes layouts and colors don't look like what they did on your monitor.
