Creative Ideas

I have a project at work that won't end. We've had to do lots of over-time and weekend work, and it's not quite over. My free time seems to be shrinking lately. And I don't feel very creative. It's hard to be creative when you're tired.

I took some time this weekend to do the following. I felt I needed a break to do some creative things.

1. I researched online recipes for new ideas for this week. I'm not a cook. I'm a recipe-follower. We tend to get into ruts with dinner ideas.

2. I made a scrapbook/memory book at Snapfish.com. They have neat templates and layouts for your photos.

3. I drug out an old manuscript, and I'm giving it another proofreading make-over.

4. I went to the Creativity-Portal. I always find neat stuff there. I love the imagination prompt. It's great for writing ideas.

5. I went to the library. I found some neat mysteries, a biography, and a book club that I want to join in October.

I think I'm ready for Monday's challenges. I hope you're being creative this weekend. Don't let work, bad news, or the stinky economy sap your energy or your spirit!

And congratulations to my friend, Chris. He just signed with an agent this week!
