Document Properties

We often use electronic versions of Word documents as templates for other documents if we want to preserve formatting or layout elements.

If you do this, make sure to check the "Properties" in MS Word before you save. (Click File and Properties. Then click the Summary tab.) If you use another document as your template, the basic information stored here may be incorrect. (It would be embarrassing to have someone else's name or company information in your file.)
