More Reasons to Proofread...

Here are some of the items that I've seen this week...

1. On a website that was trying to convince me to buy something...
"I can insure you that there is every reason to..." I think they meant "assure"??

2. There's an insurance business sign on the main road near my house. Every week, they put a new message up that lets us know that "John M. saved $150 on his car insurance." This week's message needed a space. "ChrisT save $300 on his car insurance."  It made me wonder what type of car it was.

3. We were revising message boxes for an application today. We have some functionality on a web page that allows you to click the word "more" to see additional text. The "more" link toggles back and forth. So at some point, you have to click "more" to get less.

4. Someone sent me a link to a site for housing passwords securely. It's a great idea. It's keepass.com. Words run together in URLs. It's supposed to be "kee" "pass" .com. That's not how my co-worker read it aloud.

At least tomorrow is Friday! Happy weekend!
