9-11

Take a minute to remember today. There are people who are grieving.

Celebrate the heroes. Celebrate the American spirit.

I will always remember where I was that day. One of my most prominent memories of that time came from my dad and some of his co-workers. My dad was a police officer for over 40 years, and I remember him talking about the slurs and the jeers over the years that come with the job. After 9-11, I remember he and other police officers talking about the multitudes of people who just stopped them to say thank you. Remember our heroes.

I heard a great story on CNN in the car this morning on my way home. It was about a company who lost many of its workers on that horrific fall day in 2001. They honor their friends and co-workers by donating the day's profits to charity.

Find your way of giving back.
