A BRIGHT AND GUILTY PLACE

I just finished A Bright and Guilty Place by Richard Rayner. It details some of the history of Hollywood and Los Angeles in the early 1910s through 30s. It's full of scandal and intrigue, and it reads like a mystery novel with a cast of characters from the movie industry and history. I learned a lot about Raymond Chandler who pops up frequently in the crisscrossing stories.
