More Reasons to Proofread and Some Bloopers
Here are some proofreading errors and customer service bloopers that I've encountered this week...
1. One of our local TV stations is doing free small business seminars. They promised that "we can help you market your business with all types of mediums."
2. Our TV/phone/internet service went down Monday evening. We called on our cell phone and reported the issue. After the initial troubleshooting failed, they promised to send a technician the next day. We gave them all of our cell numbers for contact. When I got home the technician was still there at 6 PM. My husband said that he was late, but he was almost finished. The technician asked me to check the phone and internet. There was a voicemail, so I played it. It was the technician (who was coming to fix the home phone that wasn't working) calling our home phone to tell us that he was going to be late.
We used to have an IT support person at work who would send an email out announcing that the email was back up after she told people that it was broken (and not to use it).
Happy Friday!
