Autumn is here, and the trees are just beginning to turn here in Central Virginia. We're fast approaching the time to change clocks. Here are some things you may need to do...

1. Clean up your desk. (I've just been moving the piles around. It's time for an overhaul.)
2. File all the stray pieces of paper. Recycle what's no longer good.
3. Clean out your desk drawers.
4. Clean up your hard drive.
5. Clean out your email files.
6. Change the batteries in your smoke detectors. If you don't have them, get some. Many fire departments will provide them for free.
7. Make sure that all of your supplies (paper, toner, batteries, etc.) are organized. Stock up on what's missing.
8. Organize your photos and music files. I've started filing and labeling them as I download them. If I don't, the job is just too overwhelming later.
9. If you don't have one, get a shredder. Shred the junk mail and junk papers as they come in, and put them out with next week's recycling.
