This Week's Reasons to Proofread...

Here are some of the typos and grammar problems that came across my desk this week...

This came from flyer from someone highlighting his carpentry skills.
During the housing boom, I contracted myself out to many different builders' in the area.


This came from a "winner" notification email. If you get these and they're riddled with grammar problems, it's probably a hoax.
"Walmart" was spelled 4 different ways in the notification email.
WalMart in UR area gives 1000usd Gidtcard!
Wal-Mart gives huge Goodies Filled Packs.


My technical writer found this in some web content.
We is amenable to refinancing properties.

This came from a local historical society's website.
