Thanksgiving - in Virginia

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated at Berkeley Plantation in 1619, two years before the one that we've all heard about in Massachusetts.

If you've never visited the plantations on Route 5 between Richmond and Colonial Williamsburg, you need to make the trip. The homes are beautiful and offer a window into a bygone era. Route 5 is beautiful in the spring and fall. It's wonderful for day-tripping.

Celebrate Thanksgiving and enjoy your family!
