I saw this in our paper last week and online this week. The only bookstore in Laredo, Texas is getting ready to close. The town's library is planning an expansion, and another chain is moving into the area in the next few years. I guess it's not so bad with the library and the internet, but I just can't imagine living without a bookstore. We are fortunate here to have the chains and a variety of locally owned ones. Support your local book sellers and local authors.
