Changes...
My favorite radio station changed formats suddenly yesterday in the middle of the day with no notice. I've been listening to that station for the past 18 years. (Okay, it's probably time for it to change, but I don't like the new format.)
Everyone has some reluctance to change. Some of us go kicking and screaming, and others show more grace. I'm just facinated in my IT world at some of the reluctance to change (desks, reporting structure, software, etc.). IT by its very nature means changing technology. Hey, I spent hours in the early 90s learning all the function keys for WordPerfect. I just dated myself, but you had to know them if you wanted to be efficient when you formatted your documents. (Yes, some of us remember word processors without graphical interfaces and a world without the internet.)
My job title changed recently. It's taken me a little while to get used to it. We're rearranging our work areas to put like groups closer together. We just added a new building. And even my church added a new wing this year which changes the door we now use. All of these things (all of them good) have had some effect on my normal routines.
Change is everywhere. It just feels like there's a lot of it lately. It's all in how we react and cope with it. Take some time for you. Be nostalgic about the past (for a little while), and enjoy the new stuff.

Radio stations change formats all the time. When they do it in the middle of the day without notice, that usually means the station has been bought, and everyone has been fired. A sad fact of life in the radio business.

Change is inevitable, but not all changes are improvements. Resisting and getting angry just adds to the stress. But I do get upset when companies "improve" my favorite products that I've used for years, and likeed just the way they were. For instance, the discrete white container of deodorant with a blue lid (that matched my bathroom color scheme) has now been replaced with a garish yellow-green container (that doesn't match anything in my house).
