Grace under Pressure
It was disappointing to see that no one reversed the bad call that prevented Detroit Tiger's pitcher,
Armando Galarraga, from getting credit for a perfect game. I was impressed, however, by his behavior, and that of umpire, Jim Joyce. It was truly grace under pressure. They didn't spew obscenities or throw a tantrum. They both acted with decorum and respect. Hopefully, a lot of our other athletes (and politicians) learn a lesson from this. (And one day, may be baseball will even move into this century with the addition of instant replay.)
Cheers to Armando (We know you had a perfect game!) and Jim! Have a great weekend!
