I came across this article by Andy Jordon . In it, he highlights the importance of quality, not just software testing. Many times because of project schedules, we tend to focus on the software testing. Correcting bugs, fixes the immediate problem, but it doesn't address the underlying, reoccurring problems. Jordon makes some really good points about the importance of building quality into the basic processes. His points can be also be applied to documentation projects.
