It's HOT again!

Here on the East Coast, we're back into triple digit temperatures. (We had a nice break last week. I'm sorry that it couldn't last for the rest of the summer!)

Stay inside and stay cool. Work on some little projects that don't always get done.

1. Make a list or create a job jar of small projects that don't have a specific deadline. When you have some time, grab one and get busy.

2. Clean up your desk or your writing area. A cleanup gives you a fresh outlook (and more space to work).

3. Clean up your computer files. Archive or retire unneeded ones. Organize photos and music files. Make sure that you're backing up your work regularly.

4. Clean up your bookshelves. Trade, sell, or donate what you no longer want.

5. Put all of the loose photos in an album or organize them in a photo box. Make sure that you've label them.

6. Clean out a closet or a junk drawer.

7. Get rid of the paper clutter. Sort the mail over the recycle bin. Make sure that you shred anything with personal information.

8. Go through your medicine chest and dispose of outdated items.

9. Go through your spice rack and dispose of outdated items. I found some in the back of the cabinet with price tags for stores that haven't been in business for years. Yuck!

10. File the papers that have been piling up this quarter. Shed/recycle what you don't need. If you have to keep detailed tax records, make sure that you've filed everything for the first half of the year.

11. Roll the loose change and take it to the bank.  You'll be surprised at how much it adds up.
