Fearless Flowers

I enjoyed Julie Young's article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch this morning about Annie Vanderwarker  and her "Fearless Flower Arranging." It was full of great tips for beautiful arrangements.

I love fresh flowers, but I rarely have them in the house because they don't look spectacular when  I plop them in a vase. (I also have a reputation as a plant killer. We do have four live plants now, and all are doing well despite my lack of a green thumb.)

The pictures in the RTD's "Home and Garden" section are great, so I went to Vanderwarker's website, Fearless Flowers. Her arrangements are gorgeous! She has some how-to videos for all skill levels.

In the RTD story, She also had a recommendation for keeping deer away. I'm going to try it. Everything that I've used so far hasn't worked. They love the buffet of hostas and azaleas that I laid out for them in the side yard.

Check out the RTD article and her website. Beautiful!
