Surprise Moments...

Life has been crazy busy around my house for what seems like weeks. I've had a couple of moments lately that were a nice break from all of the daily hubbub and reality. I like when I discover moments like this because they remind me to slow down and see what else I'm missing during my normal, whirlwind life.

I passed my neighbor's driveway this week during the day. (I usually leave when it's dark,)  I hadn't noticed his tree lately. He has a pine tree growing in his ditch. I was surprised to see that it's way over six foot now. I'm not sure how long it'll get to stay there, but it's nice to watch the little rebel tree that refuses to grow in the neat mulched areas.

I ran into Panera's in Central Virginia earlier this week to grab dinner. I turned around to find NASCAR driver, Ward Burton, standing in line behind me. It was an interesting surprise moment. (I haven't run into too many celebrities. Though, I did meet Evel Knievel in a club in Virginia Beach in the late 80s. And he was wearing one of his famous jumpsuits.)

I got the giggles a while back when I saw the Geico  commercial about the little pig on his way home. (Since then, I've heard so many people talk about this ad.) Maxwell's great!

The weekend is finally here, and I'm going to find something fun to do. It's time for some down-time. Enjoy your weekend, and don't forget to look for those surprise moments that make you smile and pause.
