Mark Smith is a local business owner here in Central Virginia. He owns several Midas dealerships. I love his commercials. I usually will go out of my way to avoid commercials, but I love his. He focuses on bettering our community. He organizes blood drives and food drives for the Central Virginia Foodbank.

His latest radio commercial talks about a day when he was delivering backpacks for hungry kids in Petersburg, VA. One of the children jumped up in the truck and said, "Wow!" when he spotted all the backpacks that had been donated.

I like his description of the Wow! moment. We can all have a Wow! moment. Find a way that you can give-back. Monetary donations are great, but the gift of your time means a lot to nonprofits that have been hit hard by the economy.

We don't have to do everything, but we can do something. I hope you have a Wow! moment this week!
