I went to a new, gourmet sandwich shop tonight. The décor was chic, and the menu and the music were hip. They had funny signs all over the store. I ordered ham and turkey subs.

As I was getting ready to take my order, the teenaged sandwich maker drew a circle around two parallel lines on the paper wrapper. Thinking that she was being clever as the ambiance, I said, “Oh, that must be for the ham.” It looked like a piggy snout. She rolled her eyes and casually replied, “No, that’s because it’s the number eleven.”
