Changing Huck Finn?

I've been reading a lot of commentary this week on the language updates to Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn. I was on the fence for a while on this one. "Harmony" is one of my Top 5 strengths (from the Strengths Based Leadership survey). So, if updating makes it easier or more comfortable to read Twain, then something may be better than noting.  I didn't realize that there were two versions of The Canterbury Tales until I got to college. We had the PG version in high school.

Then I read Leonard Pitt's OpEd  piece that was in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. He makes some really good points about censorship and sugar-coating history.
