DC and Chicago are the US metropolitan areas with most amount of traffic . I heard this on the way home (while stuck in traffic last week). The news commentator remarked that people like me in Central Virginia spend about 19 hours a year in traffic. That's a lot better than Washington, DC and Chicago residents spend an average 70 hours a year in traffic. Wow!
