New Projects:
I have the privilege of being on a team that brought youth basketball and cheerleading to my church. The Upward program is amazing! We've only had a few practices and games so far, but I can already see improvement. I wish I had had this when I was in elementary school. Basketball and cheerleading are new for some of these kids. They are excited and ready to play. I love the Wow moments!

I'm working with a team to help an organization develop a communications strategy and plan.

I am also working with a team to help plan the events for our Sisters in Crime - Central Virginia chapter. This is a national organization with local chapters to promote women (and men) who write and enjoy mysteries. Donna Andrews is our guest in February!

And I'm going through my work in progress one more time. I hope to start querying agents soon.

I got my birthday present (presents) early yesterday. My 14 year-old jack russell has been missing his buddy since November. We went to look at puppies yesterday, and in a moment of weakness, we came home with two. They did really well last night. They wiggle a lot, so it's hard to get a good picture. This is a photo of Riley (left) and his sister Disney.
