A Crafty Killing - Lorraine Bartlett
I read A Crafty Killing on my iPad this week. This is the first in Lorraine Bartlett's "A Victorian Square Mystery." She has interesting characters, and she sets the stage for a good series.
Her amateur sleuth (Katie Bonner), an office manager for an insurance agency, inherits part of Artisan's Alley. Being the major owner in a gallery isn't as glamorous as it seems when Katie Bonner realizes that it's not solvent. Bartlett juxtaposes arts v. crafts and tradition v. development throughout the mystery that has art, cats, romance, and a few dead bodies for good measure. I look forward to reading more of the series.
