Robert Crais' THE SENTRY

"He couldn't stop looking at her - as if she were a book he wanted to read" — One of many great lines in Robert Crais' The Sentry.

I've loved Crais' Elvis Cole novels for years. Now, he's telling the story through Cole's partner, the tough mercenary, Joe Pike. The friendship between Cole (private investigator) and Pike (business man, mercenary) has grown through the series. His characters are tough, and they always fight for truth.

This thriller has stolen identities, hit men, LA gangs, and refugees from Hurricane Katrina. It's a good read that's hard to put down.
