The Monkees performed in town this week as part of their 45th anniversary tour. (I drove to Baltimore from Virginia Beach with friends to see their 25th anniversary tour.) I'm sorry that I missed this one. The water cooler talk made it sound like a really good concert. (I saw them in Richmond with my next door neighbor and partner in crime. I also saw them a few years back at the horse track in New Kent.)

Michael J. Fox turned 50. (I think it's time to watch Back to the Future again.) Johnny Depp also turned 48 this week. Wow! And he was cast recently to play in a remake of The Thin Man, one of Hammett's mystery classics.
