After a few, tense moments, she turns out to be a suicide instead. Her odd behavior leads him to encounters with the NYC police, FBI, and foreign nationals. He pursues every lead, even when the police won't, to unravel a mystery that could affect a candidate, on the fast-track to greatness, who is trying to run for the US Senate.

Child is a great thriller writer. He is the master at pacing a story. I couldn't put this one down.
