SinC-CV - Rhino Investigation's Meriah Lysistrata Crawford

Meriah L. Crawford of Rhino Investigations spoke to the Sisters in Crime - Central Virginia chapter last Saturday. We braved Hurricane Irene and survived.

Here's what I learned...

1. Check out Weather Underground. There is a history link, and you can research the weather on specific days in the past. Very cool for writers (who want to get it right)!

2. Google maps (and street views) are wonderful for checking out neighborhoods and scenes that you're describing.

3. Check out Lee Lofland's blog, The Graveyard Shift. He also has a police academy for writers.

4. Check out Pipl.com for people searches. You may want to see what appears for you.

5. You may also want to review your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter... privacy settings. Reporters, police, PIs, and others use social media too.
