If you have to do presentations or design work (or if you've suffered through bad PowerPoint presentations), you need to check out Nancy Duarte's Resonate: Present Visual Stories that Transform Audience. Duarte is also the author of Slide:ology.I love that she provides examples of great design that are easy to recreate. Both of her books are great references.
